How the day runs

Loose room. Serious work. Contracts on the other side.

Nobody's checking your posture. But every block is built to leave you with something you didn't walk in with — a conversation started, a buyer's card, a number that finally makes sense.

📌

The shape of the day below is a draft. Session topics, speakers and exact times are still being finalized — the full run of show is published closer to the date.

Morning · doors open
Breakfast & the warm-up

Eat, meet the room, walk the EXPO floor before it gets busy. DJ is already going.

Late morning
Sessions you work in

A working block with our agency and prime partners — bring your paperwork and your questions. Topics announced as they're confirmed.

Midday
Lunch & fireside chats

Owners and primes telling the truth about what it took — the losses too.

Afternoon
Buyers & recognition

Time in front of buyers, the media lounge, and businesses recognized on stage.

After 5PM
The Afterglow · WXYZ Lounge

We flow straight downstairs into WXYZ Lounge — cash bar, music, and no agenda. Everyone's welcome; the day keeps going as long as the conversations do. VIP guests get a drink ticket and the VIP seating area. Staying at the Aloft upstairs? You never have to leave the building.

2025 recap

You can't describe this room. Watch it.

Four minutes from last year, opened by the Mayor and then handed over to the room — vendors working their tables, panels going long, people hugging, laughing, trading cards, the DJ carrying the whole floor.

Real learning, real training, zero judgment. It's a vibe we've never been able to put in a paragraph — so watch it happen in real time.

Tiers, tables and speaking slots are all on one page.

What you leave with

Don't just leave inspired. Leave more ready.

Return of Readiness isn't a slogan. Here's what the day is built to put in your hands.

A clearer picture of where to find contracting opportunities
A read on what buyers actually look for before they award work
A stronger capability statement — reviewed by people who read them
Plain-language footing in certification and procurement
Face time with buyers, primes and resource partners
The gaps keeping your business from larger contracts, named out loud
Tools and contacts you can still use the week after October 22

Less talk. More execution.

Questions people actually ask

Is food included?

Yes — breakfast, lunch and snacks in every ticket tier, including student.

I'm not certified yet. Should I come?

Especially then. Empire State Development is on site to help you work through certification in the room.

What should I bring?

Your capability statement, business cards, and any certification paperwork you're stuck on. Dress how you're comfortable.

Can I send my team?

Team of four is $120. Need an invoice or a bigger block? Email us and we'll set it up.

What's the VIP actually get me?

The Prime Access Hour — sit down with primes and buyers, get your capability statement reviewed, and hear an honest read on your capacity.

Where do I park?

There's a parking ramp attached to 500 Pearl with direct indoor access to the venue — park and walk straight in, no weather, no hike. Street parking is nearby too. We'll email details with your ticket.

Coming from out of town?

Aloft Buffalo Downtown is inside 500 Pearl — learn and stay in the same building. We have a special conference rate.
